How to Play
This variant is a branching, choice-driven adventure. Your decisions change stats, unlock or block options, and determine which ending you reach.
Core Loop
- Read the current scene and choose one action.
- Your choice can change stats immediately.
- New options appear in the next scene, some with stat requirements.
- Reach the late-game chapters and commit to diplomacy, discipline, or conquest.
Stats
Courage: resolve, nerve, and ability to take high-risk actions.
Supplies: food, gear, rope, and logistical readiness for difficult routes.
Stats never drop below 0. Different routes reward different stat profiles.
Choice Requirements
Some choices require minimum stats, such as courage 5 or supplies 3. If a choice is
blocked, the button text tells you exactly what is missing.
Endings
There are multiple outcomes, including peaceful resolutions, costly military wins, pragmatic withdrawals, and hard-fail outcomes if major risks are mishandled.
Strong runs usually balance both stats instead of maxing only one.

- Early over-speeding can starve your late-game options.
- Pure aggression can lock you out of negotiation endings.
- Track both stat values every chapter before committing to a branch.
